GF to host the state championship event at its Essex Junction facility for the second consecutive year<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Essex Junction, Vt., Dec. 29, 2025 <\/strong>\u2013GlobalFoundries (Nasdaq: GFS) is proud to reaffirm its role as the presenting sponsor of the FIRST<\/em>\u00ae LEGO\u00ae League (FLL) program in Vermont for the 2025\u20132026 season. This ongoing partnership reflects GF\u2019s deep commitment to community engagement, advancing K\u201312 STEM education and fostering future workforce development. For the second year in a row, GF will host the FLL Vermont State Championship at its Essex Junction facility on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026, supported by dedicated GF volunteers, underscoring the company\u2019s strong ties to the local community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This renewed sponsorship reinforces GF\u2019s longstanding relationship with the FIRST <\/em>organization in Vermont, where GF employees actively mentored FIRST <\/em>teams across local communities, contributing more than 2,500 volunteer hours last year. By continuing as the FLL Presenting Sponsor, GF affirms its commitment to cultivating a vibrant STEM ecosystem and inspiring the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FIRST <\/em>LEGO League (FLL) Challenge, which serves students in grades 4-8 throughout Vermont, has seen significant growth. In the 2024-2025 season, Vermont hosted 60 FLL Challenge teams statewide, and projections for the current season estimate over 74 teams. This growth is made possible through the collaboration between GF and FIRST <\/em>in Vermont. FIRSTinVT<\/a> is a non-profit organization dedicated to establishing and enhancing FIRST <\/em>teams at all program levels by building sustainable relationships between teams and community partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
